SEARCH OPTIONS
Basic
Enter information in just ONE of the boxes:
Title Starts with | Any word(s) in Title | Author (last name, first name) | Any word(s) in Subject | General Keyword | Juvenile General Keyword | DVD Title starts with | Audiobook on CD Title starts with
Then click the GO button, or press ENTER.

BE SURE TO ONLY ENTER INFORMATION IN JUST ONE BOX!
“Start of” – This search is a way to find an exact match on an author, title, or subject. You must enter the author, title, etc. exactly as it appears in the catalog (type in the last name, first name for authors). However, you can leave off the end of the author or title and you will be sent to the closest entry (i.e. Austen or Pride and)
“Word(s) from” - This lets you search by an important word anywhere within the author, title or subject fields. The advantage to this kind of search is that you do not need to know the exact title or subject to do the search. Also, the results list will show you contents information, the number of requests outstanding for each title, and for audiobooks, whether or not the title is unabridged.
Advanced
Use the down arrow next to TITLE Keyword at the top to pick a search:
TITLE keyword | Author keyword | Subject keyword | General keyword | Series keyword |Magazine/Newspaper | ISBN/ISSN | Dewey Call #
Then type in your search. You can use more than one search box (for instance Title keyword on the first line, and Series keyword on the second line).

To Limit your search, you can click on an item in one of the boxes below the Search by: section. If you accidentally highlight something you don't want, hold down the CTRL key, and click again. The highlight will go away.
Search Tips
As each Search Results screen displays, choose the item you want more information about by clicking on it.
If this icon appears next to a title, you will still need to click on the title to see if it is available. If a title is in another branch or checked out you can place a request on the title.
Placing Requests
To place a request, click on the Request Item button. Enter your library card barcode number and PIN number, then click on Login. Select the library branch from which you want to pick up the title, then click the Place Request button. If you want to keep using your barcode for additional requests, to renew items, or for adding items to “My List”, select Return to Search; otherwise select Logout and Return.
My Account
Enter your library barcode (no spaces) and PIN number (usually the last 4 digits of your phone number), and then press the Enter key. If you get an error message, report the problem using the email link on the website.
Checked Out (renewals) – Gives you a list of items currently checked out on your card and their due dates. You can renew items on this screen by checking the box in front of the item you would like to renew and then clicking the “Renew” button. If you see “One or more items didn’t renew”, scroll down for more detailed information.
Hold Requests – Shows status of current requests with buttons for canceling or suspending (“Change Status”) your requests. Click on “Requested Title” or “Expires” to sort your list by those headings.
Blocks and Fines – allows you to review any blocks, or outstanding fines and bills on your record.
Profile - Allows you to change your email address. The “Request Change” button simply alerts the library that you would like to update your information.
Circulated Items – If you click on the Preferences tab and change the radio button to Yes next to Keep Circulation History?, from that point on, you will be able to review everything you have checked out.
My List
You can create lists of titles in addition to keeping your circulation history. First search for each title you want in a list. Once you find the title, click the My List icon. You will see a blue check mark appear and there will be a new tab called My List. Once you have selected titles, click on the My List tab. You can arrange your titles into multiple lists, such as “Books I Read” “Books I Want to Read”. Initially all books go into a Temporary List. Put checkmarks next to the titles you want in a given list, click the Rename icon; a small window will come up and you can name your list. After that, as you add titles, you can either move titles from Temporary into existing lists, or create additional lists. You can have up to 20 lists with a maximum of 100 titles each. Any list unused for 365 days will automatically be deleted.
