The Friends of the Library Book Sale held in September was a great success and raised funds for library programs from the thousands of books the community donated. Thank you Friends and everyone who contributed books and time to the book sale. See photos.
The Friends of the Highland Park Public Library play an important role in supporting and promoting excellent library services. The Friends raise funds to sponsor special library programs for the public throughout the year, including Poetry Nights, Technology Nights, Children's Programs, Teen Programs, International Film Nights, concerts and cultural events. The Friends also raise community awareness of the library's resources and stimulate public support for its mission.
The Friends' funding comes primarily from membership, donations and fundraising. The largest fund raising event is the Annual Book Sale.
